Tracked Sponsors: Off-Platform Attribution
Attribute resources to sponsors not yet on Fanflet. Send claim invites that transfer historical engagement when they onboard.
The Problem This Solves
You are presenting at an event next week. The sponsor on stage with you is not on Fanflet yet. You still want their logo on the resource block, their website behind the click, and a clean record of every attendee who engaged with their materials.
A cold pitch lands flat. A cold pitch with thirty leads, four hundred downloads, and a year of attribution behind it lands very differently.
Tracked sponsors give you a way to attribute engagement to a company before they have a Fanflet account. When you are ready, you send them a claim invite and the entire history transfers with them.
What a Tracked Sponsor Is
A tracked sponsor is a record you create from your sponsor connections page. It carries a company name, a website, an AI-generated logo and description, and an industry tag.
On your fanflets it behaves like a real sponsor. You attribute resource blocks to it. Clicks, downloads, and info requests roll up under the company name. Analytics accrue.
The difference: there is no sponsor account on the other end. Nobody logs in. The record sits with you until the sponsor claims it.
Plan requirement
tracked_sponsors Early Access flag enabled. Speakers who set up a tracked sponsor before April 18, 2026 are grandfathered through a feature override and keep access on any plan. Detaching a tracked sponsor is always available, no matter the plan.Creating a Tracked Sponsor
Open sponsor connections and click the Track off-platform sponsor button.
Enter what you know
Fill in the company name, the website URL, or both. One field is enough. Keywords are optional and help the AI pick the right company when the name is generic.
Review the AI-generated profile
Fanflet looks up the company, pulls a logo, and drafts a description and industry tag. You see a preview card with a confidence score before anything is saved.
Confirm or search again
If the preview matches, click Yes start tracking. If the AI picked the wrong company, click Not right search again and refine your inputs.
The record is created
The tracked sponsor shows up on your sponsor connections page with a Tracked badge. You are now ready to attribute blocks to it.

Attributing Resource Blocks
Open any fanflet and edit a resource block. The sponsor attribution dropdown lists every sponsor connection you have, real and tracked, in the same place.
Pick the tracked sponsor. The block now carries their logo and company name on the public page. Audience members see a polished sponsor block. They have no way to tell the sponsor is off-platform.
Attribute as many blocks as you want, across as many fanflets as you want. One tracked sponsor record covers them all.
Analytics While Off-Platform
Every interaction with a block attributed to a tracked sponsor records an event under their name. Your sponsor connections page shows the rolled-up totals.
You see views, clicks, downloads, info requests, and lead captures for each tracked sponsor. The numbers are yours to share when you pitch the company.

Inviting Them to Claim Their Account
When the relationship is ready, send a claim invite. The link puts the sponsor in front of every metric you have built on their behalf.
Click Invite this sponsor
From the tracked sponsor row on your sponsor connections page, click Invite this sponsor. Fanflet generates a one-time claim URL tied to that record.
Send the link out of band
Copy the URL and email it to your contact at the company. Anything works as long as it reaches the right person. The link expires in 30 days and works once.
They land on the claim page
The link opens /sponsor/onboarding?claim_token=... with a banner showing their company name, the speakers tracking them, and the views, leads, and subscribers waiting on the account.
They onboard and inherit the history
The sponsor signs up, takes ownership of the profile, and the connection between you and them flips from tracked to active. No data resets.
What Transfers on Claim
- The connection between you and the sponsor flips to a real, active connection.
- Historical clicks, downloads, info requests, and lead captures stay attributed to the company. The sponsor sees a populated dashboard from day one.
- Brand assets are inherited. The sponsor takes over the logo, description, and website you set up. They edit them from their own sponsor portal going forward.
- Every block on every fanflet you attributed stays attributed. No relinking, no rework.
- Other speakers tracking the same company also flip to real connections at the moment of claim.
Reactivating an Expired Tracked Sponsor
If you stopped tracking a sponsor and want to bring them back, the row still shows on your sponsor connections page with an ended status. Click Reactivate.
The relationship resumes and any blocks you previously attributed point at the sponsor again. Reactivation is gated by the same tracked_sponsors flag as creation.
Detaching a Tracked Sponsor
Stop tracking is always available, on every plan. Click the Stop tracking button on the sponsor row and confirm.
Your relationship to the tracked sponsor ends. Any other speakers tracking the same company keep their relationship and their stats. The audience-facing fanflet does not change. Existing blocks keep their logo and link until you swap them.
Detach is plan-agnostic
