Multi-Profile Speaker Accounts

Run more than one public speaker identity from a single login. Separate public links, fanflets, subscribers, and analytics per profile.

One login, multiple speaker identities

A single Fanflet account holds more than one public speaker profile. Each profile has its own public link, its own fanflets, its own subscribers, its own analytics, and its own bio and photo. You sign in once and switch between them from the avatar menu in the dashboard.

Use this when you wear two hats. A clinician who also does industry consulting wants the patient-facing voice separate from the KOL voice. An author with a leadership book and a cookbook keeps the two audiences from bleeding together. A keynote speaker with a side podcast hosts each on its own page without forcing visitors to wade through unrelated content.

When a second profile makes sense

Reach for a second profile when the audiences you serve do not overlap. Signs you want one:

  • You speak to two distinct fields and the topics never mix.
  • Your bios read differently to each crowd and a single page would confuse both.
  • You want to track engagement separately so analytics for one side of your work do not blur into the other.
  • You are building two subscriber lists with different content cadences.

If both audiences would happily read the same posts, stick with one profile. Two profiles double the work of keeping pages fresh.

What is separate, what is shared

Per profile

  • Public link and URL
  • Display name, bio, headline
  • Profile photo and frame
  • Social links
  • Fanflets and resource library
  • Subscribers and digest list
  • Analytics and tracked events
  • Sponsor connections
  • Referral count and tier

Shared across the account

  • Login email and password
  • Billing plan and Stripe subscription
  • Payment method on file
  • Two-factor settings
  • Account-level role (speaker, sponsor)

Your account identity

Your Fanflet login has two distinct layers. The account is you, the person who signs in. A speaker profile is a public persona you publish under. One account can hold several profiles, but the account itself always represents one person.

This distinction matters in practice. When you switch to a different speaker profile, the sidebar still shows your name and avatar. The account identity stays anchored to you. Only the active profile’s name and photo change on the public speaker page.

You set your account display name and avatar in Settings → Account, under the My Account card.

  • Display name: the name shown in the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar and in the team member list.
  • Avatar: upload a photo (JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF, under 5 MB) and crop it. If you skip the upload, your initials appear instead.

Your account identity is visible to other members of your Studio team. It is not shown on any public speaker page. That is controlled by the profile photo and name in Settings → Profile.

Settings → Account is about who you are. Settings → Profile is about how you appear to your audience.

Plan limits

Hit the cap and the Create new profile option in the avatar menu disappears. Upgrade your plan to raise the cap.

Creating a second profile

1

Open the avatar menu

Click your avatar in the bottom-left of the dashboard sidebar. The account menu opens.

2

Choose Create new profile

Pick Create new profile. The option only shows when your plan has room for another profile.

3

Fill in name and Fanflet URL

Enter the public name for the new identity and pick the Fanflet URL after fanflet.com/. URLs are lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. Each public link across Fanflet is unique, so a taken URL returns an error.

4

Submit and switch in

Submitting creates the profile and switches you into it automatically. The dashboard reloads with the new profile active. Add a bio, photo, and your first fanflet from there.

Switching between profiles

The avatar menu lists every profile you own with a green check next to the active one. Click another profile to switch. Fanflet always takes you to that profile's overview (home dashboard) — not the fanflet editor, analytics page, or other screen you were on. Profile-specific pages stay with the old profile; starting from overview avoids empty data or errors.

The switch is per browser session

Switching sets a cookie called fanflet-active-profile on your browser. A different browser or device keeps its own active profile. Sign out and back in and you land on your primary profile by default.

What carries between profiles

Almost nothing carries. Each profile is its own public surface with its own audience. Subscribers who opted in to one profile have not opted in to the other. Sending one profile's digest to the other's list would break consent and Fanflet does not let you do it.

Plan limits and billing roll up to the account. Everything else stays scoped to the profile you are working in.

Renaming and deleting a profile

Rename a profile or change its public link from Settings → Profile while the profile is active. The change takes effect right away on fanflet.com/your-link.

Public link changes break old links

Anything printed, scanned, or shared with the old public link stops working the moment you change it. QR codes you handed out still point at the old URL. Rename early or commit to redirecting visitors yourself.

You delete a non-primary profile from Settings → Profile. Deletion removes the profile, its fanflets, its subscribers, and its analytics. The primary profile on your account is protected and cannot be deleted from the dashboard. Contact support if you need to reassign which profile is primary.

Billing across profiles

One Stripe subscription covers every profile on your account up to the plan's profile cap. The subscription lives on your primary profile and you manage it from Settings → Billing while the primary profile is active. Upgrading the plan raises the cap for every profile at once. Downgrading below your current profile count is blocked until you delete the extras.

Transfer account ownership (Studio)

Studio account owners can hand ownership to an existing admin on the team without contacting support. The outgoing owner becomes an admin. The incoming person takes over billing, team management, and account closure.

Plan availability

Studio only. The Transfer ownership card is visible only to the current account owner.

Before you start, the person receiving ownership must already be an admin on the team. If no admins exist yet, the card shows the message “Promote a team member to admin before transferring ownership.” Go to Account → Team, promote them, then return.

1

Go to Account > Team

Scroll to the Transfer ownership card and click Transfer ownership.

2

Select the new owner

In the dialog, select the admin you want to make the new owner and click Next.

3

Send the verification code

On the confirmation step, click Send code. Fanflet sends a 6-digit verification code to your email address.

4

Enter the code and confirm

Enter the code in the Verification code field. Codes expire after 1 hour. If yours expires, click Resend code. Then click Confirm transfer.

On success, you are redirected to the dashboard. You are now an admin on the account. Both you and the new owner receive a confirmation email.

The transfer is immediate

The transfer runs as a single atomic operation. There is no pending or approval state. If you need to reverse it, the new owner must transfer ownership back to you using the same flow.

As admin after the transfer, you can still manage fanflets, team members, and settings. You can no longer change billing or close the account. Those actions require owner access.

Refer Speakers and multiple profiles

Referrals are scoped to the profile they came from. The referral link in Dashboard → Refer Speakersis tied to whichever profile is active when you copy it. Activations count toward the sending profile's tier, not the account as a whole. If you want all your referrals to ladder up to one tier, send them from one profile.
