Emailing Your Subscribers

How to compose and send a broadcast email to your subscriber list, and how to read the engagement results.

Your Subscribers dashboard lets you send a broadcast directly to everyone on your list, or to a filtered selection. This doc covers who can send, how the compose flow works, what your subscribers see, and how to read the results afterward.

Who can send

Plan availability

Sending broadcasts requires a Pro, Studio, or Early Access plan. Free plan speakers can export their subscriber list but the Email All button is not available.
PlanSend broadcastsOpen and click tracking
FreeNo (export only)Not available

StudioYesYes
Early AccessYesYes

Tracking means Fanflet records how many recipients opened your email and how many clicked a link. That data shows up in the Email Activity view described below.

Composing and sending a broadcast

Open your Subscribers dashboard. You have two ways to reach the compose window:

  • Email All: click the Email All button in the top-right action row (visible when no rows are selected). This targets every subscriber in the current filtered view.
  • Email selected: check one or more rows, then click Email in the bulk-action bar. This targets only the checked subscribers.

Both paths open the same Compose Email modal. Fill in:

1

Subject

Required. The subject line your subscribers see.

2

Message

Required. The body of your email. Plain text.

The Tofield shows a summary of your recipients (for example, “All 142 subscribers (BCC)” or “12 selected subscribers (BCC)”). Recipients are BCC’d, so they cannot see each other’s addresses.

When you are ready, click Send Email. The button shows Sending…while the request processes. A confirmation toast appears with a count of how many were sent and how many failed, if any. The confirmation also includes a link to open that broadcast’s engagement results in Email Activity.

Reply-to address

Replies from your subscribers come to your speaker account email. The compose modal confirms this: “Emails will be sent individually to each subscriber with your email as the reply-to address.”

The visible sender name on the email is “[Your Name] via Fanflet”. The sending domain is handled by Fanflet. You do not need to configure anything.

Sending domains

Fanflet uses purpose-built sending domains so your broadcasts are isolated from system emails like subscribe confirmations and account notifications:

  • Pro broadcasts send from connect.fanflet.com.
  • Studio and Early Access broadcasts send from engage.fanflet.com.
  • System and transactional emails (confirmations, seat invites, and so on) use updates.fanflet.com.

This separation protects deliverability. A bounce or complaint on a broadcast does not affect the domain that sends your confirmation emails, and vice versa. You do not configure sending domains. Fanflet routes your broadcast to the right domain based on your plan.

Engagement tracking (Studio and Early Access)

Plan availability

Open and click tracking is available on Studio and Early Access plans only.

When you are on Studio or Early Access, Fanflet records engagement events for every broadcast:

  • Opens:counted when a recipient’s email client loads the email. Note that Apple Mail Privacy Protection pre-fetches emails, which inflates open counts. Fanflet labels open rate as approximate.
  • Clicks: counted when a recipient clicks a link in your email.

Where to see your results

Open the Email Activity tab in your Subscribers dashboard. The full list is at /dashboard/subscribers/broadcasts. Click any row to open the detail page for that broadcast. The page shows:

  • Sent, delivered, and bounced counts and rates. Available on Pro, Studio, and Early Access.
  • Opened and clicked counts and rates. Available on Studio and Early Access only. Pro sees a note about upgrading to Studio to access engagement data.

Results update as events arrive from Fanflet’s delivery provider, so the numbers may grow for several minutes after you send. Broadcasts that predate the engagement tracking feature show a note that engagement data is available from the date the feature launched, not from the original send date.

Unsubscribe and CAN-SPAM

Every broadcast Fanflet sends on your behalf includes a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer, along with a postal address. This is automatic and cannot be removed. It keeps your broadcasts compliant with CAN-SPAM and Gmail/Yahoo bulk sender requirements.

When a recipient clicks the unsubscribe link:

  • They are removed from your list immediately.
  • They stop receiving your broadcasts and new-fanflet notifications.
  • You see their row removed from your Subscribers dashboard.

Per-speaker unsubscribe opts the recipient out of your broadcasts only. Global unsubscribe opts them out of all Fanflet audience emails across every speaker. Recipients can choose either option from the unsubscribe page.

If a recipient’s email hard-bounces or they mark your email as spam, Fanflet automatically suppresses that address. It will not appear in future send lists, which protects your sender reputation.

Do not re-add an unsubscribed address by selecting them manually or re-importing their email. Doing so risks spam complaints and can affect deliverability for the whole platform.
